Video ‘How To’ Guide
Here are the instructions for building your own ‘steel back nymphs’. Note that the nymphs that I sell include 2 additional steps including the welding of the crossed wires on the “back” and the sanding that follows. Another difference is the way of applying the epoxy.
Apart from the standard assembly tools, you need pointed pliers and another pair capable of cutting the stainless steel wire up to 35 hundredths. Another pair with the square end to pinch the “jaw” makes life easier but the pointed pair can do the trick.
The other essential tool is to make the half hitches. Small precision, the hole must be drilled on 15mm of length to be able to make the knots on the “mast”. A small screwdriver with a very fine blade is recommended to slide the stainless steel wire under the steelback.
10 pre-welded hooks and 10 steelback hooks per kit.
